Historians believe that official poker rules may have originated along with the Persian game known as ‘Nas’. Others have associated these with a Chinese game similar to poker played as early as 900A.D. Since the origins of poker itself is not known, the origin of poker rules has also remain a mystery, though experts say official poker rules originated through a variety of other card games and continue to evolve till date as and when more poker variations are introduced. Overall if one looks at it poker rules have evolved over a period of time with each poker variation bringing to the poker table a slightly different variation of a poker rule.
